The first episodes opens up with the final battle of the Grail War ten years before between...

After which we have a certain priest give a short explanation about the Grail War. Then, a sequence where a certain sorceress summons her Servant.

Now we are treated to a beautiful OP sequence, with probably my newest most favorite version of "This Illusion" which apparently was retitled in a way. (Do take note that the screenshooting was semi-random :p)


The ED sequence was very simple, but the music and animation was beautiful.

Finally, everything feels so perfect, or rather, complete, with the anime of Fate/Stay Night. Original art style, true characterization, smooth animation, beautiful music. Finally something that Studio DEEN had taken really seriously, especially considering how large an undertaking this was.


For next the next episode, I'll finally hear that fateful question...
