"Back to Tabletop RPGs AT LAST!!!"
We had a sample battle encounter for our Black Jade: Rewind campaign last Sunday and it pretty much went well. Although obviously we have to coordinate with each other more, like say having to move at the best segments for each of us, as well as utilizing properly the skills we and our Emulator partners have. Also, I did some tweaking with some character skills and decided to take two levels of the Talented: Minor advantage for Tactical skills. Yep, I'm going to be playing the tactical guy in this one. Now if only our GM gives clearance for the two levels of Talented: Minor...
Joe also decided to turn his character's blog into the Squadron Blog for all of us playing the campaign, and possibly the GM who's running it as well.
Yesterday as well I went with Gamer-Joe to meet up with Adrian and Vic of the A.E.G.I.S. (Alliance of Eclectic Gamers and Interactive Storytellers) which is a gaming circle composed of various gamers, some of which may have been possibly around in the RPG scene since the first D&D. They wanted to check out Joe's old house as a venue for the monthly Open Meet, and after some discussions and planning, its been sort of settled already. Now just a few stuff needed like say people who'll help fix the ground floor up. Now its actually easier for me to get to Open Meets since there's now going to be a fixed venue for it.
Also, they told us about the "Houses" in A.E.G.I.S. having their own planned herald/banner/crest/mon/whatever symbol for representation for which "House" they belong in. Joe made asked me to think up of one, then if the concept turns out pretty good, we'll have Adennyd draw it, then possibly we save a bit to actually have one made.
Hmm... But all this speaking of Role-Play Gaming is making me think again about how our type of gamers are in a way dying out... But I'll go rant about it on my next post instead. :p
